Andrew "Andy" Wright Smith, 58, formerly of the Littlestown-Gettysburg areas in Pennsylvania passed away February 2, 2025 in Mercy House of Chambersburg, PA.

Andy was born June 13, 1966, in Gettysburg, a son of the late Alvin Wright and Shirley (Leister) Smith.  He graduated from Littlestown Area High School in 1984 and continued his education at the then known as Central Penn Business School in Harrisburg.  He earned his BS from Montana State University in Bozeman with several years of study in fish and wildlife management and finishing in sociology.

Mr. Smith was a conservationist, freelance writer and artist.  He loved nature, hiking and traveling. His interest, some of which he wrote for, included the Greater Yellowstone Coalition in Bozeman, the Glacier National Park Association in Columbia Falls, MT and The Wilderness Society.  He also had an appreciation for the Falling Spring Chapter 234 of Trout Unlimited in Chambersburg.  His favorite TV program was MASH.

Surviving is a brother, Alan, in Colorado and an uncle, Ronald Smith in Pennsylvania.

Andy's acquaintances from far and wide may fondly remember his friendship within their hearts.
