Anita C. Rowles Shoop, 75, formerly of Concord, Blairs Mills and Duncannon, passed away December 30, 2022, at her home in Waterloo following an illness.  She was the wife of Gerald D. Shoop; they would have celebrated their 27 ^th wedding anniversary on Jan. 1, 2023.  Born January 28, 1947, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Finley and Nina (Kennedy) Gamble.

Anita graduated from Fannett-Metal High School, Spring Run, and worked for the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania retiring in 1998, as an administrative assistant.  She was a member of the Millerstown Moose Lodge No. 925, the American Legion Post 232, Dry Run and the Blue Juniata VFW Post 5754 in Mt. Union.

Anita enjoyed her collection of Pink Depression Glass and was a puzzle enthusiast.

Surviving with her husband, Gerald, are 2 children; son, Bryan K. Rowles and his wife, Tara, of Marysville and daughter, T. Crystal Wheeler and her husband, Steve, of New Bloomfield; 3 grandchildren, Brandon, Meghan and Vanessa and a step grandson, Christopher; 2 great grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren.  Also surviving are 3 stepsons and their families: Mark Shoop and Tabitha of Millerstown, Raymond Shoop and Mary of McAlisterville and Ethan Shoop and Lindsey of East Waterford; 5 grandchildren, MaryJane, Jett, Cindy, Quinn and Porter and 3 step grandchildren, Kaylee, Sophia and Lalia.

Anita was preceded in death by her first husband of 27 years, Terry L. Rowles, in 1993.

The funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, Jan. 2, 2023 in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, with Pastor Darwin Goshorn officiating.  Viewing hours Sunday, Jan. 1 between 5 and 7 PM and Monday, prior to the service, 10 to 11 AM.  Interment Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Route 75, Concord.   www.agettlakjer.com
