Betty Kling Campbell, 87, who lived most of her life in Path Valley, entered peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior in Menno Haven, Chambersburg, on July 8, 2024. Prior to entering Menno Haven, she resided in Doylesburg with her late husband, Glenn, who died June 12, 2022.

Born September 28, 1936 in Spring Run, she was a daughter of the late George L. and Helen (Kauffman) Kling. She was a member of the last class attending Dry Run School, graduating from Fannett-Metal High School.

Mrs. Campbell initially drove school bus and later was a driver for Ralph Miller in "the valley."  She was also employed in the cafeteria at the elementary school for a number of years.

In her younger years she attended Spring Run United Methodist Church and later became a member of Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church. She loved going to church and participated actively as a faithful member.  For many years, she was also a member of Group 8 Society of Farm Women of Pennsylvania, dedicated to the appreciation of rural life.

Betty is remembered as being a social person, who enjoyed music, shopping, traveling and the many wonderful trips she and Glenn shared together.

Surviving are 4 children: sons, George Campbell, East Waterford, Steve Campbell (Sharon), Edenville, Keith Campbell (Kim), Red Lion and daughter, Sherry Baldassari (Roy), Chambersburg; 6 grandchildren, Andy, Whitney and Ryan Campbell, Natasha Saber (Zach), Bryan (Hannah), and Andrew (Jayden);  5 great granddaughters, Anneleigh, Margaret, Olivia, Olivia and Audrey.  Also surviving are 2 sisters, Georgia Himes, Hagerstown, MD and Jane Clayton, Amberson and nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Sara Mae Frowen and Shirley Morton.

The family sincerely thanks the staff at Menno Haven for the excellent and compassionate care they provided for Betty.

Her viewing will be Friday, July 12 between 6 and 8 PM and Saturday after 10 AM followed by the funeral service at 11 AM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, with Pastor Laurie Parsons officiating.  Interment Doylesburg Cemetery.  The family prefers the omission of flowers and suggest donations be made in her memory to the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church, PO Box 128, Spring Run, PA 17262.      www.agettlakjer.com
