Betty M. Laman, 70, of McConnellsburg, PA, formerly of Amberson, peacefully departed this life in her home on June 15, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Jack E. Laman.

Betty was born September 3, 1955, in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late Marcus N. and Mary C. (Kelbaugh) Lowans. She had worked at Letterkenny Army Depot.

She is fondly remembered as a cherished wife and loving mother. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time at the beach in North Carolina, but most of all, her family was of utmost importance.

Betty leaves behind an adoring family. She was the devoted wife of Jack and beloved mother of Jeremy Buchanan, McConnellsburg, Dennis Buchanan (Kim), Greencastle and Clinton Buchanan (Marcy), Amberson, and cherished grandmother of Chance Buchanan and Kaiden Buchanan and affectionate great great grandmother of Arya Buchanan. Additional survivors include her siblings, Gerald, Millard, Darrell, Lori, Rodney and Todd.

In addition to her parents, father, Marcus and mother, Mary C. Lowans, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronald, a sister, Vicki, a granddaughter, Jordan Kay Buchanan and a great grandson, Keenen Andrew James Dorsey.
