Bradley S. Deshong, 60, of Chambersburg, PA passed away January 30, 2024,  peacefully at home with his loved ones by his side.

Born April 24, 1963, in McConnellsburg, he was a son of the late Robert Blaine Deshong and Anna May (Tritle) Deshong, of McConnellsburg.

He is survived by his significant other, Karen Moats of Chambersburg, and her sons, Chris Moats and Anthony Moats, Jr.  In addition, he is survived by a brother, Robert Blaine Deshong, of Camp Hill and sisters, Beth Ann Daniels of McConnellsburg and Deanna Marie Strait of Chambersburg.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Ann Mellows of Fort Loudon.

Brad retired from Valley Quarries after 25 plus years.  He decided to get into excavation for Liberty Excavators, Inc. for several years, and then took a position with Pennsy Supply (CRH) until his illness.

He served in the US Army for 9 years.  Brad was an avid Nascar fan, going to many events as well as watching Nascar on TV and enjoyed collecting Dale Earnhardt memorabilia.  He was also an avid history enthusiast.

He had a passion for CAT heavy equipment and enjoyed working on them as much as driving them.  He collected CAT die-cast models, as well as hats.

Brad was a lifetime member of the NRA.  In addition, he was also a member of several social clubs, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 842 of Chambersburg where he held the title of Governor. He served as Junior Governor and was the present Governor of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1790 of Mercersburg until his passing.
