Carl E. Magee, 86, of Amberson, entered his Heavenly Home, August 30, 2021, in the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg.

Born in Southampton Township, he was a son of the late Nelson F. and Alice C. (McVitty) Magee.  He graduated from Fannett High School, Dry Run, in 1952.

He proudly served in the US Army and was stationed in Lebanon. His family fondly recalls the interesting letters they received from him during that time.

Other than when he was in the service he worked for many years alongside his father in dairy farming and continued following his father's death. He enjoyed hunting, Sunday afternoon drives in his car in the countryside and more recently spent time reading. He was a member of the former Amberson Presbyterian Church and member of Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church.

Surviving is his sister and loving caregiver, Patricia M. Campbell, with whom he resided in Amberson.

Additional survivors include 2 nephews: Jeffrey Campbell (Stacey) of Spring Run and Gregory Campbell (Tammy) of Shippensburg and 2 nieces:  Stephanie Shoemaker (Carl) of Amberson and Angela Sullivan (Patrick) of Dillsburg and 7 great nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held Friday, Sept. 3, after 12 Noon followed by the service at 1 PM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, with Rev. Dr. Meagan M. Boozer officiating.  Interment Amberson Cemetery.
