Carl Erwin Wasmuth Jr., 85, of Amberson, PA, passed away May 26, 2026, in Magnolias of Chambersburg.  He moved to Amberson from Katy, TX and formerly lived in St. Louis, MO.

He was born on January 4, 1941, in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Dr. Carl E. Wasmuth Sr. and Martha Lucy (Conn) Wasmuth.  A 1958 graduate of University School in the Hunting Valley area of Cleveland, OH, he continued his education at the University of Virginia receiving his BA in Foreign Affairs.  He then enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia graduating with his Juris Doctor.

Mr. Wasmuth practiced law for several corporations, and he traveled the world in his career as a legal counselor.  After retiring about 2001, he moved to his home in Amberson where he enjoyed looking at the lake, caring for his lawn with the support of his good friends, Heather and Albert, and turning his basement into a woodshop to accommodate his woodworking skills.  He was a member of Orrstown Lodge # 262 F & AM.

Surviving are 2 children, Carl E. Wasmuth III (Tracy) of Green Valley, AZ and Kimberly Christian (Brian) of St. Louis, MO.  Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, Tyler Wasmuth and Evan Christian.

Carl E. Wasmuth Jr., Esq.  is lovingly remembered by his children as a good and caring father, who was supportive and nonjudgemental.
