Carol Darlene Mayer, 73, of Chambersburg, passed away June 9, 2026, in Chambersburg Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of Steve Mayer Sr.

Carol was born November 12, 1952, in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Russel and June (Horne) Sellers.  She was active in church at Mount Olivet Brethren in Christ and a teacher for Bible Adventure in Saint Thomas Elementary School.  She loved flowers, children and helping others.

Surviving with her husband, Steve, are 2 sons, Steve Jr. (Diana), Willow Hill, PA and Andy (Laura) Chambersburg and grandchildren.  Also surviving is a brother, Gary Sellers, Stowe, Ohio and 2 sisters, Charlene Timmons, Greencastle and Joy Freiley (Brian), Waco, TX.  A brother, Dwight Sellers, preceded her in death.
