Christina Marie Shatzer, 78, of the Altenwald area of Chambersburg, went to be with the Lord on March 9, 2025, in Mercy House of Chambersburg.  She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Stanley H. Shatzer, Jr.

Born September 25, 1946, in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Donald Dunkin and Vera Virginia (Kriner) Thompson.  She grew up in Fannettsburg where she attended grade school until age 10, when her family moved to the Chambersburg area.  She attended Chambersburg schools.

A devout Christian woman, her family remembers her as an incredible homemaker and babysitter and also fondly recalling her skills in cooking and baking.

Surviving with her husband, Stanley, are 3 sons: Greg Shatzer (Janice) of Clear Spring, MD, Steven H. Shatzer (Crystal) and Timothy L. Shatzer, all of Chambersburg, 5 grandchildren, Leah Hazel Zimmerman (Brandon), Noah Duncan Shatzer (Kendra), Grace Marie Shatzer, Alexandra Christopher (Brandon) and Jessica Shatzer (fiance' Tyler Heaton) and 3 great grandchildren, Elliana and Addison Zimmerman and Loretta Ann Shatzer.  She was preceded in death by her 4 brothers, Fred, Terry, Ron and Mike and an infant grandson, Nathaniel Gregory Shatzer.

Viewing Wednesday, March 12, 2025, after 10 AM followed by the funeral service at 11 AM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run with Rev. John W. Mallin III officiating.  Interment Grindstone Hill Cemetery, Chambersburg.  The family prefers, in lieu of flowers, donations in her name to Mercy House of Chambersburg, 730 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA  17201   www.agettlakjer.com
