Craig D. Schwartz, 65, of Chambersburg, formerly of Gratz, Dauphin County, PA, passed away September 23, 2026, in his home where he was under the care of his family and hospice.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna K. (Smith) Schwartz. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Schwartz was born September 9, 1961, in Pottsville, PA, a son of the late Melvin E. and Lena (Mattern) Schwartz. He graduated from Upper Dauphin High School in 1979.

Craig was an over the road truck driver as well as a delivery driver for Lowes until retiring due to illness.

He formerly attended Simeon Lutheran Church in Gratz. Craig loved the outdoors and was an avid camper. He also enjoyed cooking, baseball and was a Steelers fan. He had been a member of a former traveling band known as the Busters in which he played the saxophone and sang along with his bandmates, Dale, Scott and Glen N.

Surviving with his wife, Donna, is his son, Jason (Samantha) of St. Thomas and granddaughters, Stella and Ember. He is also survived by 1 brother, Dale Schwartz (Sandra) of Halifax and was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Schwartz in June of this year.

A memorial service is being planned in the Simeon United Lutheran Church, 173 N. Center Street, Gratz, PA with Pastor Gregory Lindsey officiating. www.agettlakjert.com
