Dale M. Hampton, 92, a long time resident of Lack Township, East Waterford, went home to be with the Lord at his residence on November 24, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Nettie (Dutrey) Hampton in October, 2015.

Born April 16, 1929, in Tell Township, he was a son of the late Cambridge Minnick and Ida Elizabeth (Berrier) Hampton.  Mr. Hampton worked in the Textile Industry retiring from the former Masland  Brothers Carpets in Carlisle. He enjoyed his farm where he had goats and he also liked to spend time hunting.

A veteran of the Korean War, he honorably served  in the Army and was a member of the American Legion McCartney Post 232, Dry Run.

Surviving are 7 children: Dale, David, and Dena Hampton, Dina Hampton and her companion Brian Clouser, and Deric and his wife, Natasha Hampton, all of East Waterford; Daniel Hampton of Mifflin and Dawn Hampton of Shippensburg,  grandchildren: Darla Vawn and husband, Daniel, Dara Hampton and her companion, Jamie Reeder, Danielle Schrack and husband, Benjamin, Deadra Palm and husband Justin, Dustin Hampton and Dakota Hampton, Cassandra Trego, Sage Booher, Eli Hampton and Oliver Hampton. Also surviving are great grandchildren: Lauren, Caitlin and Becca Vawn, Samarra, Victoria, Alexandra and Asher Schrack, Sable Stoutzenberger, Kaiden Palm and Kyra Reeder, a brother, John of Chambersburg and a sister, Beatrice Trego of East Waterford.

In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by sisters, Genevieve Kint, Minnie Metz and his twin sister, Anna Grace Reed, a brother Blaine and a daughter-in-law, Lynne Marie Hampton.

The service will be held Friday, December 3 , 2021 at 7:30 PM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run with Pastor Judy Rowles officiating.  The family will be present for his viewing from 6 PM until the service at 7:30 PM but has also requested the funeral home be open during the day for friends to call at their convenience.  Those wishing to attend the interment with military honors should meet at Salem Cemetery, 20224 Salem Road, Blairs Mills on Saturday, December 4 at 11 AM. www.agettlakjer.com
