Dorothy M. Garner, 94, of Fort Loudon, PA, entered into rest July 1, 2022, in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Forest Whitesel in Lewisberry.   Her son, Joseph A. Garner and his wife, Linda, also survive of Lewisberry.

Born October 31, 1927, in the Lackawanna Section of Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Charles M. and Catherine N. (Berrier) Smith.

Dorothy formerly attended Carrick United Methodist Church, in Fannettsburg.   She will be fondly remembered as being an amiable, kind person and a dedicated hard worker.

Additional survivors include, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren,  siblings, brother, Blaine Smith and his wife, Judy, and sister, Dolly Johnson, all of Shippensburg and her loyal companion, Kenneth W. Yahner.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Samuel and Ronald Smith and 2 sisters, Mary Louise Hammond and an infant, Hannah Paulene Smith.
