Dwight J. Johnson, 87, of Doylesburg, went to be with the Lord in Hershey Medical Center on May 16, 2025. He was the husband of the late Nancy (O'Donnell) Johnson, who died April 29, 2012. They were married November 26, 1960.

Born July 28, 1937 in Shade Gap, he was a son of the late Jesse L. and Louise E. (Dillman) Johnson.

He grew up farming and continued to do so until retiring in 1996.  In addition, he worked for Fannett Township for many years. Dwight enjoyed working with and selling Chaparral snowmobiles. He was an avid tractor puller on his Allis-Chalmers WD, and in later years, loved going to watch the boys pull.

His family fondly remembers his exceptional ability to recall and share stories about facts and folks from The Valley.

Surviving are 2 brothers, Larry Johnson (Irene) and Eugene Johnson (Linda) all of Doylesburg; 2 nieces, Pam Gibbons and Kim Heeter, and 5 nephews, Walter Jr., Randy, Dan, Steve, and Andy Johnson.  Additional survivors include several great nieces and nephews.  Dwight had very special friends and neighbors, Sam and Elizabeth Stoltzfus and family.

In addition to his parents and wife, Nancy, he was also preceded in death by 4 siblings, Lawrence, Walter, Shirley, and JoAnn Johnson.

His funeral service will be held in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 11 AM with Pastors Darwin Goshorn and Judy Rowles officiating.  Viewing Tuesday 6 to 8 PM and Wed. prior to the service 10 to 11 AM.  Interment Doylesburg Cemetery.  Should friends desire, donations in his memory may be made to the Doylesburg Area Community Center, c/o Leonard Hockenberry, 23282 Burns Valley Road, Doylesburg, PA  17219.  www.agettlakjer.com
