Elvin B. Parson, 60, of Doylesburg, entered into rest on August 22, 2023, in Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg.  He was the beloved husband of Jackie (Fleagle) Parson, and they observed their 37th wedding anniversary last December 21st.

Born February 18, 1963, in McConnellsburg, he was raised by his grandparents, the late Kenneth and Loretta Parson.  His birth mother, Charlene Myers, of Mt. Union survives.   Elvin graduated from Southern Huntingdon High School in 1982.

In his younger years, he was employed as a laborer, working for his uncles in the Masonry business.

Elvin was a member of the Shade Gap Sportsman's Club.  He is remembered for his love of fishing and shooting pool.  Most of all, the pleasure he received from his grandchildren was the source of his greatest joy.

In addition to his wife, Jackie, he is survived by a son, Alan Parson, and his companion, Nicole, of Doylesburg, a daughter, Alice Miller and her husband, Philip, of Blairs Mills and 3 grandchildren, Maci, Abby, and Michael.  Also surviving is his mother, Charlene Myers and a brother, George Myers, and his wife, Karen, all of Mt. Union.  A brother, Donald Myers, preceded him in death.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Sept. 2, 2023, at 3 PM in the Dry Run Covenant Brethren Church, 18778 Main St., Dry Run, PA  17220, with Pastor Devin Fink, officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations given to the family are preferred.   www.agettlakjer.com
