Emory "Junior" McMullen, 81, affectionately known as "Kink," passed peacefully in his Dry Run home on December 3, 2024. His loving and supportive family was by his side. He is survived by his wife, Lena J. (Peterson) McMullen; they observed their 61st wedding anniversary on November 30th.

Born July 23,1943, in Blairs Mills, he was the son of the late Doras Earl and Martha Amelia (Zitch) McMullen. He graduated from Orbisonia High School in 1962.

Junior was an equipment operator with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission retiring after 32 years of service.  He then drove truck for several local businesses.

He was a lifetime member of the Fannett-Metal Fire & Ambulance Co. and former member of Dry Run American Legion Post 232, Spring Run.

He also loved the outdoors. His family recalls how he enjoyed hunting, particularly in the Western States and also fishing, especially for Flounder. However, nothing brought him more pleasure than spending time with his family.

Surviving with his wife, Lena, are 3 children: David E. McMullen (Candace) of Neelyton, Michael J. McMullen (Polly) of Orrstown, and Robin L. Rebuck (Ronald) of Dry Run, 5 grandchildren, Christopher (Raylee), Deidre (Dakota), Claire, Wyatt and Kelsey, 1 great grandson, Jaxsen Daltey and 2 great granddaughters, Paisley and Maci.

Also surviving is a sister, Donna Holden (David) of Orbisonia and 3 brothers, George McMullen (Sue) of Chambersburg, Dale McMullen (Glenda) of Blairs Mills, and Clyde McMullen (Rita) of Dry Run. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Dalten Eugene and 2 brothers, Warren (Sonny) and Calvin.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, Dec. 5th from 6 to 8 PM and Friday at 9 AM followed by the service at 10 AM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, with Pastors Marlin "Butch" Neil and Darwin Goshorn, officiating.  Interment Path Valley Cemetery.   www.agettlakjer.com
