Erma "Arlene" Bowen, 86, passed away October 10, 2022, in Shippensburg Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.  She was a former long time resident of Dry Run, PA.

Born February 21, 1936, in Doylesburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Shearer) Campbell and graduated from Fannett Twp. High School, class of 1954.

During her younger years, Arlene worked as a seamstress at the former Stanley Co.  She then had a lengthy career working in the medical field, first in Medical Records and retiring from the former Fairway Medical Associates, all of Chambersburg.  Following retirement, she worked part time as a personal aide at  Aprontree Large Personal Care, Spring Run.

Arlene had been a member of the Doylesburg United Methodist Church, where she served as substitute organist.  She was a lifetime member of the Fannett Metal Fire & Ambulance Co., as well as their Auxiliary.

Surviving are two daughters, Sandy Bowen of Newburg and Trudy Kilgore, and her husband, Eric and a grandson, Zachary, all of Chambersburg, a brother, William Campbell of Concord and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Darlene Campbell.

The family would like to thank the staff at Aprontree Personal Care; at Shippensburg Rehab and Health Care Center, and Grane Hospice for their wonderful care and nursing support to their mother.

Her viewing will be Friday, Oct. 14, from 6 to 8 PM and again Saturday at 10 AM followed by her funeral service at 11 AM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, PA, with Pastor Darwin Goshorn officiating.   Interment in Doylesburg United Methodist Cemetery will be at a later date.
