Esther Mary Parsons, 62, of Dry Run, formerly of Chambersburg, passed away July 20, 2026 in Mercy House of Chambersburg.

She was born February 24, 1964, in Chambersburg, the only child of Cassie (Clippinger) Book, who survives of Doylesburg, and the late Galen Book. She was a graduate of Fannett Metal High School.

Esther had working careers at Letterkenny Army Depot for 10 years and New Cumberland Army Depot for about 20 years.

She is fondly remembered as an easy-going and calm woman who enjoyed baking, gardening, antiquing and loved to read. Smiles came easy when she thought of the shore, especially Ocean City Maryland.

Surviving with her mother, Cassie, is her long-time companion and care giver, Charles A. Brown of Dry Run.

Friends may call Thursday, July 23, 2026, after 10:30 AM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, where her service will be held at 11 AM with Pastor Darwin Goshorn, officiating. Interment Doylesburg Cemetery

 In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Mercy House of Chambersburg, 730 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201 where she received compassionate end-of-life care.
