Fay E. Peterson, 87, went to be with the Lord at her home in Spring Run on July 3, 2022 with her family by her side.  She was the widow of Carl W. "Chub" Peterson who died in 2013.

Born Nov. 22, 1934, in Three Springs, she was a daughter of the late Roy McKinley and Rebecca Elizabeth (Meck) O'Donnell.

Prior to the adoption of her children, she worked at a sewing factory in Fort Loudon and  formerly attended Spring Run United Methodist Church.  Fay enjoyed her home and appreciated the help of her family, but she was the manager of the household affairs including the gardening. Most of all, she enjoyed the love of her children and grandchildren and they loved her in return.

Surviving are her children, Michael W. Peterson and his fiancée, Oneta Mae Carter of Chambersburg and Sharon E. Peppernick of Spring Run; grandsons, William and Matthew Peppernick and and her surviving sister, Lula Parson of Spring Run.  She was preceded in death by brothers, Harry, Clair, Walter, Robert, Richard and Kenny O'Donnell and sisters, Omena Sheeder, Daisy Evitts, Julia Boppe and Gladys Watkins.

Her viewing will be Thursday, July 7, 2022,  between 6 and 8 PM and Friday after 1 PM followed by the funeral service at 2 PM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, with Rev.
