George R. White, 65, a lifelong resident and businessman in East Waterford, went to be with the Lord in his residence on October 15, 2022, following a brief illness with cancer.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Shawnee G. (Earnest) White.

Born March 7, 1957, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Raymond E. and Anna Jane (Varnes) White. He graduated from Juniata High School in 1975.

Mr. White was a 4 ^th generation lumberman and log home manufacturer his entire life. He designed custom log homes and built relationships with customers throughout the world. He also built street rods. George felt he was always learning and loved to share his knowledge with others.  He also loved his community members and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  He was steadfastly passionate about his family and put them only second to God, from whom he found his profound strength.

Surviving with his wife are 3 children, daughters Angela R. Newman and her husband, Billy, and Sherry A. Bixler and her husband, Ryan, and son, George Ross White and his wife, Courtney, all of East Waterford and 3 grandchildren, Jack Newman and Everly and Lillian White.  Also surviving are 2 sisters, Brenda White and Nancy Vencil and her husband, Scott, all of Mechanicsburg.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie Rae White in 2000.

The funeral service will be held Wed., Oct. 19 at 11 AM in the South Juniata Baptist Church, 3647 Smokey Hollow Road, Honey Grove, PA, with Pastor Caleb Burd officiating.  A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run and again Wednesday morning at the church prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM.  Interment, East Waterford Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to either Lack Tuscarora EMS, 9320 Rt. 75 S., East Waterford, PA 17021 or the East Waterford Fire Co., 9697 Rt. 75 S., East Waterford, PA 17021.   www.agettlakjer.com
