Harold Thomas Goshorn, 83, of Spring Run, PA passed away peacefully at his home on July 6, 2023, following a long battle with COPD.

Born September 15, 1939, in Spring Run, he was a son of the late Carson Goshorn and Eva (Clugston) Goshorn.

Harold graduated from Fannett-Metal High School in 1957.  He was employed at various construction manufacturing facilities, mostly as a welder during his lifetime.  He worked construction throughout the state until he was employed by Letterkenny Army Depot, where he was a welder for almost 20 years.  Following that, he was employed by David H. Martin as their welder, until retiring.

Harold was a member of Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, where he never missed a Mass until he became too sick to attend.  He was extremely dedicated to his family, especially to his wife, children and grandchildren.  He rarely missed an event they were participating in and was always their biggest supporter.   Harold loved baseball and coached several teams over the years.  At home, he would always be out in the garage or in the garden.  He was an avid gardener, particularly growing irises.  He and his wife cultivated and showed tall-bearded irises for over 50 years.  Additionally, Harold loved music.  He traveled around the area with his children playing country music for many years.  Harold also enjoyed restoring and showing antique cars, particularly his two El Caminos and GMC truck.  He was a member of the Dry Run American Legion Post #232 and a lifetime member of the Minnequa Social Club in Shippensburg.  He always favored spending time socializing with friends and family.

Surviving is his loving wife of 55 years, Lucy Goshorn, and 2 children, Travis A. Goshorn and Elizabeth Snyder (John), both of Spring Run.  He is also survived by his siblings, Virginia (Lewis) Sailhamer of Shippensburg, and Larry (Barbara) Goshorn of Spring Run.  Additional survivors include his beloved grandchildren, Ryan Snyder, Alexa Snyder, Anthony Goshorn, Nicholas Goshorn, Brooke Goshorn and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Venus Kessler, Charles Goshorn and Wayne Goshorn.

Services include a public viewing at the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, on Monday, July 10, 2023, from 6-8 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church (St. Mary's), 21169 Cross Road, Doylesburg, on  Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 11 AM, with additional viewing time at church 1 hour prior to Mass.  Interment adjoining church cemetery.  www.agettlakjer.com
