Helen L. Leasure, 75, of Blairs Mills, passed away February 10, 2025, in Chambersburg Hospital.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Leasure.

Born July 9, 1948, in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late Raymond E. and Rosella M. (Tirdel) Shaffer, who provided her with a strong foundation of love and support.   She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Patch, and son-in-law, Christopher Patch, of Blairs Mills. Together, they have raised three wonderful daughters: Monica, Alexandra, and Lucianna.

Sadly, Helen's son, Darryl Leasure, passed away, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Darryl has three children, Noah, Alyssa and Benjamin. Helen is also survived by her sister, Cynthia Phoebus, and brother-in-law, Robert Phoebus, who have shared in the joys and sorrows of life together. Her family extends to her nephew, Matthew Carraher, and his husband, Xavier Evans Carraher, as well as many cousins, both living and deceased, who enriched her life with laughter and love.

A proud graduate of SUNY Broome in Binghamton, NY, Helen earned her degree in medical assisting, a testament to her commitment to helping others.

In her spare time, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life—sitting on her back patio, observing the beauty of wildlife, nurturing her garden, canning seasonal produce, and engaging in various crafting projects. These cherished activities not only brought her peace but also allowed her to express her creativity and connect with nature.

Helen will be deeply missed, remembered not only for her accomplishments, but for the love and kindness she freely shared with all.
