Jack Marlin Hill Jr., 71, of Shippensburg, passed away, July 16, 2026 in Shippensburg, Cumberland County, PA. Born July 16, 1955, in Waynesboro, and raised in Mercersburg, he was the son of the late Jack M. Hill Sr. and Florence C. (Fuller) Hill.

He graduated from Mercersburg Academy in 1973 and was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mercersburg.

Jack was a shoe repairman for many years in the family business, Hill’s Shoe Service in Chambersburg.

He was a 22 + year volunteer, serving as treasurer and delivery person for Shippensburg Meals on Wheels and was a member of Rails-to-Trails, as well as various other organizations.

A motorcycle enthusiast, Jack was a lifetime member of the American Motorcyclists Association and several additional groups. He is fondly remembered as an avid fan of all vintage cycles and often frequented auctions, thrifts, swap meets, flea markets and yard sales in search of memorabilia and parts, many times coming away with entire bikes!

He is survived by 2 sisters, Carolyn Taylor (Jackie) of Fort Loudon, PA and Karen Hill, of Green Village, PA and a nephew, Jonathan Stee (Vonda) of Shippensburg. He is also survived by many special friends.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a beloved nephew, Thomas Keefer.

A Celebration of Life will be held August 16, at 3 PM at Branch Creek Place (Shippensburg Senior Center), 115 N. Fayette St., Shippensburg. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Meals on Wheels, address above or Rails-To-Trails, 304 Britton Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
