James Arnold Miller, of Saltillo, PA, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, in his home.

Born March 26, 1940, in Three Springs, PA, he was the second of three children of the late Scott and Luella (Hann) Miller.  Jim is an Air Force veteran and retired from Letterkenny Army Depot.  He was united in marriage to Joan L. Miller on November 21, 1959.  Joan was in heaven welcoming Jim home.  She preceded him in death on August 23, 2021.

He was united in heaven with his parents, brother Carl Miller, sister Janet (Miller) Thomas, daughter-in-law, Robin Miller and grand dog, Bentley Jane.

Mr. Miller leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter Lisa Hockenberry and husband, Tim, daughter Lori Yocum and husband Drew, son Damon Miller. Grandchildren Amber Wakefield and husband Tom, Alicia Williamson and husband Matthew, Andrea Hockenberry, Nathan Yocum, Nicholas Miller, Matthew Miller and wife Kenny, Payge Miller and Aryaunna Miller.

Those who called him pappy gave him the greatest delight – his great-grandchildren, Mya Williamson, Hailey Williamson, Lainie Williamson, Mattie Williamson, Landon Miller, Violet Miller and Vincent Overbey.

He cherished every moment he got to spend with his family.  He also loved God with all of his heart, faithfully serving him at his church, Fairview Church.  He loved singing using his deep base voice as part of the Gospel Echos-a gospel singing group formed with his wife, sisters-in-laws and their spouses.

A Memorial Service and Military Honors for James will be held May 18, 2024, at 11:30 AM in Fairview Church, 20091 Fairview Church Road, Three Springs, PA 17264, with Pastor Travis Mellott and Rev. Jim McCarty, officiating.
