James "Jim" Stone, age 70, passed away January 3, 2026, at his home in Miffliintown.

Born June 25, 1955, in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Richard and Dorothy (Keiffer) Stone and graduated from East Juniata High School, Cocolamus, Class of 1973.

He was employed by Yorktown Kitchens, Mifflinburg and Armstrong Cabinetry, Thompsontown.

Jim will be fondly remembered by his family for his presence in their lives and the bond he shared with those closest to him.

Surviving are his daughter, Angela Russell of McAlisterville, and 5 siblings, Cathy Hartzell and her husband, Jim, of McAlisterville, Richard Stone, of Cocolamus, Michael Stone, of Carlisle, Larry Stone, and his wife, Bonnie, of McAlisterville, and Joan Wagner, and her husband, Jerry, of McClure and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by George Kuhn, who raised Jim and his siblings, and 2 brothers, John Stone and another brother, Mark Kuhn, who passed in September, 2025 with whom Jim lived for many years.

A   Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date to honor and remember Jim.
