James Lester Thompson, Jr., 39, of Chambersburg, formerly of Greencastle, passed away in his home on May 28, 2025.

Born May 16, 1986, in McConnellsburg, PA, he was a son of Susan Lee (Long) Thompson Faulk of Baton Rouge, LA, and the late James L. Thompson, Sr.  He is also survived by his stepfather, James K. Faulk of Baton Rouge.

James graduated from Greencastle High School and was employed as a maintenance custodian at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Chambersburg for Goodwill Industries.

He loved animals and some of his favorite pastimes were listening to music and playing video games.

In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is also survived by aunts and uncles, aunt Nancy Duvall, aunt Ethel and uncle Neil Foor, aunt Penny Shaffer, uncle Rob Long, and aunt Pam Metzler.  Additional survivors include cousins, Debbie Hall and David Foor and many additional cousins.
