Janet A. (Seibert) McAllen, age 84, of Fannettsburg, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on January 14, 2022.  She was the wife of the late Donald T. "Bud" McAllen.

Born August 20, 1937, in Spring Run, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Nellie (Fleagle) Seibert.  She was a member of the first graduating class of Fannett-Metal High School in 1956.

Mrs. McAllen had a 25 year career as a cafeteria employee with the Fannett-Metal School District, retiring in January 1997.  Her employment included service at the former Dry Run and Fannettsburg Schools, and at Fannett-Metal Elementary and High Schools.

She was a member of the Lower Path Valley Presbyterian Church.

The source of her greatest joy was spending time with family - her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Surviving, when she passed away were two sons, Donald M. McAllen, who followed her in death on January 26, 2022, and Daniel M. McAllen, her daughter-in-law, Leigh Ann (Shehan) McAllen; grandchildren, Aimee Leigh, Donald II, Breanna, Nichole and Sadie McAllen, great grandchildren, Keith and Annalee McAllen.  Additional survivors include her siblings, Julia M. (Seibert) Hockenberry, Donald T. Seibert and Charlotte C. (Seibert) Iser.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Edward (Sunny) Seibert and Richard (Dick) Seibert.

Her funeral service will be Sat., Feb. 12, 2022, at 2 PM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, with Pastor Ken Richards officiating.   Viewing Friday 6 to 8 PM and Sat. 1 hour prior to service.  Interment Lower Path Valley Cemetery, Fannettsburg.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to either the Lower Path Valley Presbyterian Church, PO Box 406, or Metal Twp.
