Jeanne Marie Angle, 79, of Mercersburg, formerly of McConnellsburg, passed away April 29, 2024 in her home.   She is survived by her husband, Paul, and they observed their 63rd wedding anniversary on April 26.

Born April 6, 1945, in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Bessie (Baker) Beauchamp .

In her younger years, she was a seamstress and was employed at the former Stanley Company in Chambersburg.   Later, Jeanne was a long-time director of the Mercersburg Area Youth Organization and the recipient of the Harriet Lane Award for Child Welfare.

Jeanne enjoyed arts and crafts, woodworking, and attending craft shows as well as bingo.  Most of all, she received her greatest pleasure while spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving with her husband, Paul, are 2 children, Anthony L. "Tony" Angle and Paula Jane Angle, both of Mercersburg.  Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Megan, Zachary and Parker Angle.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Vera Cartwright.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 11 AM in Stenger Hill Cemetery, Fort Loudon, PA, with Pastor Floyd E. Myers officiating.   www.agettlakjer.com
