John Edward Haines, 71, formerly of Spruce Hill, passed away June 16, 2026, in Brookline Manor, Mifflintown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela J. (O’Neal) in 2008.

Born October 6, 1954, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late William Richard and Catherine Elizabeth (Hocker) Haines.

Mr. Haines had worked at Empire Kosher Poultry, Mifflintown, and enjoyed his time off hunting and fishing.

Surviving is his son, John Richard Haines, Port Royal, 2 grandsons, and 2 brothers, Jeffery Haines, Port Royal and James Haines, Lewistown. In addition to his wife, Pamela, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Rick Haines.
