John E. Hockenberry Jr., 64, of Three Springs, formerly of Mountain Green and Fannettsburg, passed away in the emergency room of Fulton County Medical Center on October 25, 2026.

He was born February 16, 1962, in Elizabeth, NJ, a son of the late John E. Sr. and Arlene M. (Blinski) Hockenberry. John attended Fannett-Metal High School and served in the Army National Guard for 8 years.

As a career truck driver, he did long distance driving as well as various local hauling.

John is fondly remembered as loving his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Nicole Hockenberry and her husband, Alan, of Doylesburg and Ashley Laird and her husband, Gregory of Mill Creek and 3 grandchildren, Maci, Abby & Lincoln; his sister, Tina Barnhart (Clinton) of Clear Spring, MD; a nephew, Joshua Neil and aunt, V. Esther Helm of Chambersburg.  Also surviving is his long-time loving companion of 21 years, Tina Slates.

A private memorial service will be at the convenience of the family.
