John J. (Jay) Bricker, 63, of Fannettsburg, PA, passed away in his home on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Born in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Walter J., and Sebastiana "Betty" (Guidara) Bricker. He graduated from Reading Area Community College with his GED, an accomplishment he was very proud to achieve. He worked at Berks Products and Brentwood Industries in machinery-operations until retirement in 2023. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding his motorcycle, and sim car racing.

Jay was of Roman Catholic faith.

He will be remembered by many for his humor, he could quickly get a laugh from his co-workers and friends. He was cherished for many other reasons as well; his loyalty, reliability, perseverance, and strength were just a few of the many admirable qualities. If his friends or family ever needed a confidant, he was always there, a beautiful trait that he shared with his mother, Betty.

Jay is survived by his children, John J., husband of Allison, of Pottsville, and Meadow M., of Reading. In addition, he is survived by his siblings, Jacqueline M. Reisher, wife of Thomas E., of Akron, and Karen S. Bricker-Moser, wife of James R. Eschbach, and their children, Derek and Allison, of Wyomissing.

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Nicholas, Audrey, Lily, Ayla, Luke, Hunter, Willie and Mason.

A celebration of Jay's life will be held June 28, 2025, between 3 and 6 PM at the Mohnton Rod & Gun Club, 100 Gun Club Road, Mohnton, PA 19540.  Please feel free to bring one of his favorite dishes or desserts.  Music by the Dave Mell Blues Band.
