Julia "Judy" S. Rosenberry, beloved wife and mother, died peacefully at her home on May 2, 2022.  She was 81 years old.

Born April 21, 1941, in Fannettsburg, Judy met the love of her life, John C. Rosenberry, at age 16.  They married four years later and in subsequent years had five children.  In addition to being a wonderful mother, she was an amazing cook whose Thanksgiving dinner rivaled no other and whose gift of pumpkin bread to friends and family at the holidays was eagerly anticipated.  Not satisfied to just provide sustenance for people, her backyard was filled with bird feeders, and every bird in Pennsylvania knew that a stop at Judy's would get them South for the winter.

In her earlier years, Judy loved to travel, going on bus trips with friends, an excursion to see the wonders of the national parks out West, and an overseas adventure to London to visit her daughter who was spending a semester studying there.  In her later years, Judy was content waiting for visits from children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, as well as loving and taking care of her husband, John, until his death in September 2019.  She was, until her last breath, the glue that held the family together.

Surviving are five children: Mark and his wife, Lauri, Michelle Junkin and her husband, John, Marty and his fiancée, Shelly Kline and Micah and his wife, Vanessa, all of Fannettsburg, and Melody and her husband, Matt Johnson, of Arlington, VA; five granddaughters, Jessica, Justine, Ashley and her husband, Ryan, Amy and Michaela; three grandsons, Logan and his wife, Hailey, Taylor and Landon; three great grandsons, Donavyn, Nolan, and Vance; and a great granddaughter, Tulsi.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 11 AM in Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, with Pastor Phillip Zook officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service between 9 and 11 AM.  Interment will be at the Reformed Church Cemetery, Fannettsburg.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Judy's name may be made to Apostolic Faith Church, PO Box 1268, Chambersburg, PA 17201.  www.agettlakjer.com
