Larena M. (Buck) Reeder, 86, of East Waterford and long time Path Valley area resident, entered into rest Nov. 3, 2021, in Chambersburg Hospital.

Born August 6, 1935, in Derry Township, Mifflin Co., she was a daughter of the late Earnest and Margaret (George) Buck.  She lived her earlier years in Selinsgrove and graduated from Juniata High School in Mifflintown.

For many years, Mrs. Reeder cleaned homes, a labor of love which she enjoyed.  She also took pleasure in reading and working on crossword puzzles, but her greatest joy was her family.

Larena had been a member of the former Brethren in Christ Church in Blairs Mills.

Surviving are children: Jack H. Reeder with whom she resided in East Waterford, Rena Reeder (Jim) of Upper Strasburg, William Reeder (Denise) of Shade Gap, Valerie McIntire of Chambersburg and Dennis Reeder of East Waterford; 10 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  Also surviving are brothers, Edward, Alfred and Earnest and sisters, Vanessa and Wanda.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack E. Reeder in 1972 and her second husband, Denny E. Reeder in 1997.  Also preceding her in death was a brother, Bernard and 2 sisters, Teresa and Catherine.

Viewing Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, starting at 12 Noon followed by her service at 1 PM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run with Pastor Roy Fahnestock officiating.  Interment Mt. Zion Cemetery, Blairs Mills.  In lieu of flowers donations in her memory are preferred to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA 17201   www.agettlakjer.com
