Larry Darwin Goshorn, 80, a lifelong resident of Spring Run, passed away in his home April 30, 2026, under the care of his family and hospice. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara A. (Goshorn) Goshorn.

He was born November 26, 1945, in Spring Run, a son of the late Carson Shaftner and Eva Elizabeth (Clugston) Goshorn.  He graduated from Fannett-Metal High School in 1965.

His early employment was at the Domestic  Pump Co. and Valley Pride Bakery in Shippensburg until beginning a career of 23 ½ years with SKF in Shippensburg where he was in the manufacturing of roller bearings for airplanes.  After that he worked for Penn Dot retiring as a truck driver.

Larry had been a member of the UAW, the Shippensburg Minnequa Club, the Fannett-Metal Fire Police, American Legion Post 232 and helped with the Pony and Colt League of the Legion andthe Amberson Little League.  He was an avid outdoorsman.

Surviving with his wife, Barbara, is his son, Jody D. Goshorn (Alayne) of Spring Run and his daughter, Diane E. Hockenberry of Doylesburg, 7 grandchildren, Bobbi, Jamie, Andrew, Bailey, Destiny, Oakley and step grandson, Brent.  Also surviving are 2 great grandchildren, Zaine and Bennett,  nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law, Arlene Goshorn, Jennifer Goshorn, Callista Baer, Lucy Goshorn and Nancy Zumbrum.  He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Venus Kessler and Virginia Sailhamer and 3 brothers, Charles, Harold and Wayne Goshorn.

Viewing Sunday, May 3, 2026 from 6 to 8 PM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run.
