Laura D. Martin peacefully transitioned to her eternal life on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Providence Place in Chambersburg, PA.  She was 89 years old.  She lived in Willow Hill, PA, for many years prior to moving to Providence Place.

Laura was born in July 1933, in Chambersburg, PA.  She was the daughter of the late Walter and Grace (Rife) Dice.  She graduated from Chambersburg High School in 1951.

She was a member of the Spring Run Bible Church for many years.  She enjoyed playing the piano for services at the church.

Laura was employed by Blake Martin in his grocery store, the Stanley Company, Howard Johnson Restaurant, McCoy Electronics, and Mt. Parnell Fisheries.  She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, watching birds and wildlife through the windows, baking, walking, reading her Bible, and spending time with family.

In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, C. Lester Martin, Jr. and her son, Louie Martin.  She is survived by her daughter, Debora (Edsel) Eaton, and daughter-in-law, Sheri Martin.  She had five grandsons, Braden (Carrie) Eaton, James (Kristen) Eaton, Dwight (Tiffany) Shilling, Jacob Martin, and Jonah Martin.  She had two great granddaughters, Hudson Eaton and Emma Eaton.  Her brothers, Abram and Ralph Dice, and her sister, Grace Hornbaker, preceded her in death.
