Lee H. "Weasel" Coons, 73, of Willow Hill and lifelong resident of Path Valley, passed away  January 24, 2026, in Chambersburg Hospital.

Born December 4, 1952, in Spring Run, he was a son of the late Victor George and Alberta Irene (McGowan) Coons.  He graduated from Fannett-Metal High School in 1971, and served in the Army during the Vietnam War from May 1972 until his Honorable Discharge in April 1974.

Mr. Coons was employed with Sollenbergers Silos of Chambersburg, pouring cast-in-place concrete silos in various East Coast locations from 1974 through 2000.

Weasel was a member of American Legion Post 232, Spring Run.    He was an avid trapper belonging to several associations, including the Pennsylvania Trappers Association, District #8 N.A.T.C.A.  He also loved reading, attending auctions with his son, and hunting for Ginseng also brought him much joy.

Surviving is a son, Adam Q. Coons of Fannettsburg, a granddaughter, Deidre L. Coons (Dakota), and great grandson, Jaxsen D.  Stevens of Dry Run.  Also surviving is a sister, Dorothy Reed (Donald), Fayetteville and 3 brothers, William "Bill" James Coons of Grottoes, VA, Edward M. Coons (Connie) of Spring Run and Robert E. Coons (Cathy), of  Doylesburg, nieces and nephews, and his former wife and best friend, Diane Coons, Fannettsburg.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 2 PM at the Spring Run Bible Church, 20722 Hammond Road, Spring Run, with Pastors Ryan Henderson and John Semple, officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church 1 hour prior to the service.
