Leigh Ann McAllen, 58, of Fannettsburg, passed away January 13th, 2024, peacefully in her sleep.  Leigh Ann was born April 22nd, 1965, to Ronald L. and Barbara A. (Nickoloff) Shehan in Huntingdon.  She graduated from Southern Huntingdon High School in 1983.  That same year she met her beloved husband and they wed in 1984, enjoying 38 years together, going on to have two children, Aimee Leigh McAllen and Donald Matthew McAllen II.

Leigh Ann started her first job as a paper delivery girl while still in school and upon graduation, started working at the silk mill in Huntingdon, PA. While her children were young, she worked at Fannett-Metal School District as a Student Aid.  In 2000, she entered the U.S. Postal Service, eventually becoming a Postmaster.  Leigh Ann impacted the lives of everyone she worked with, and every one of her customers, as a Postmistress.  She was highly active in local community events, helping Metal Township Fire Company with the annual Fannettsburg Fest as well as other fund raisers for the fire company.  She also volunteered at the Lower Path Valley Presbyterian Church as a Bible study teacher.

Leigh Ann loved to host family get togethers.  She enjoyed arts and crafts and giving them away as presents to her loved ones.  She enjoyed the annual vacations to Chincoteague Island, VA, and to Bradford, PA with family.  Her main enjoyment was to spend time with her grandkids, Keith and Annalee.

Leigh Ann was preceded in death by her mother and father, Barbara A. and Ronald L. Shehan and her husband, Donald M. McAllen on January 26, 2022.  She is survived by her daughter, Aimee L. McAllen and son, Donald M. McAllen II, grandkids, Keith and Annalee McAllen, brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald Shehan, Jr., his wife, Lori; Nelson Shehan, his wife, Christie, and brother-in-law, Daniel McAllen, nieces, Tara Buttlar, her husband, Andy, Olivia Shehan, Breanna McAllen, Nichole McAllen and Sadie McAllen and great nieces, Anabell and Emma Buttlar and her beloved dog, Quincy.

The service for Leigh Ann will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at 3 PM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, with Pastor Ken Richards officiating.  There will be a viewing between 1 and 3 PM prior to the service.  Should friends desire, donations in her memory may be made to the Metal Township Fire & Ambulance Co., PO Box 185, Fannettsburg, PA  17221.
