Lillian Gantt Smith, 88, of East Waterford, went to be with the Lord November 20, 2021.  She was the beloved wife of Harold O. Smith, and they would have celebrated their 67 ^th wedding anniversary on Christmas Eve.

Born June 7, 1933, in New Bloomfield, she was a daughter of the late McKinley and Mossalene (Baker) Gantt. She was a graduate of New Bloomfield High School.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the Doylesburg United Methodist Church. She enjoyed singing, cooking and was known for her wonderful jelly.

Surviving with her husband, Harold, are 2 sons: Timothy and his wife, Beth, of Lancaster and Mark and his wife, Patti, of Dry Run; a granddaughter, Rebeca Smith and a step grandson, Matthew Frankel and his wife, Kelly, and their children, Landon and Madelyn.  Additional survivors include 2 sisters: Betty Wade of Mechanicsburg and Roberta Butler and her husband Jim, of Virginia.

She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, David, Jesse, Robert, and Alfred Gantt and 2 sisters, Allison Shott and Edith Redding.

A memorial service will be held December 12, 2021, at 2 PM in the Doylesburg United Methodist Church, 22245 Main St., Doylesburg.  The family will receive friends following the service.  Memorial contributions are preferred to either the church, sent to P.O.
