Lois Poad Kelley Young, 91 of St. Thomas, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at home.  She was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on March 6, 1932, daughter of the late John and Mildred Poad Kelley.

Lois was a graduate of Coughlin High School in Wilkes-Barre.  She married Harold M Young Jr. on May 23, 1953, who preceded her in death on July 13, 1999.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra L (Robert) Hrabovsky, Auburndale, FL and sons Alan H Young, Loveland, CO and Jeffrey O Young, St Thomas, PA, brother Howard (Elaine) Kelley, Wyoming, PA.  Also, granddaughter Sarah Young and grandsons Jonathan Hrabovsky, Aaron (Morgan) Hrabovsky, Stephen (Nicole) Hrabovsky, Jacob Young, Lane Koko (Jina) Kamikawa, Terry Young and Nathan (Chelsea) Young, and seven great-grandchildren and five nieces and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers Paul P Kelley and Donald P Kelley.

Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She loved to quilt and made many quilts, crocheted many afghans, and enjoyed all kinds of crafts, needlework and sewing.

She volunteered for many years at Summit (Wellspan) Health and was a member of NARFE 1063 and VFW 1599 Auxiliary.

She was a long-time member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Chambersburg, PA.

A Memorial Service celebrating Lois's life will be planned for a future date to be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, 1811 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Oaklawn Cemetary, Wilkes-Barre, PA
