Loretta Mae O'Donnell, 84, of Doylesburg, went to her heavenly home March 23, 2024, in her residence.  She is survived by her husband of 64 years, William T. O'Donnell.

Born July 4, 1939, in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Lena Mae (Parson) Burkholder.  She attended Fannett-Metal schools and had a career of 45 years as a seamstress.  Her work in sewing began at the former U-Wanna-Wash Frocks Co., in Shippensburg leading to a position with the Blain Sewing Factory.  From there she went to East Waterford, then to Shade Gap and retired from the sewing factory in Spring Run.

Loretta was a former member of the Ruritan Club in Doylesburg.  She enjoyed going to yard sales including trips to Belleville, in the Big Valley.

Surviving with her husband are 3 daughters: Candy K. Kyler, Doylesburg, Crystal A. Sparks (Randy), Woodbury, PA and Billie Jo DeBross (Shawn), Chambersburg, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  Also surviving is a brother, John Burkholder, Spring Run, and 2 sisters, Nancy Herlt, Newville, and Betty Bechtel, Chambersburg.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Peg Hippenstell   and a brother, Harvey Burkholder.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, March 27, from 9 to 11 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11 with Pastor Darwin Goshorn officiating.
