Our beloved Malachi John Martin, of Mifflin, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on Friday afternoon, August 19, 2022, at the age of 27.

Malachi was born April 27, 1995 in Minerva, Ohio to Don and Mildred Martin, and spent most of his formative years in Juniata Co., Pennsylvania.

Malachi loved nature, music, photography, traveling and horticulture, and was a devoted seeker of beauty and truth.  As a long-distance transporter, (truck driver) he drove both coasts with his freight, stopping in to visit his siblings along his routes.

Malachi will be forever remembered as a caring, giving, and loving person.  Shy and quiet, contemplative and insightful, loyal, deeply compassionate, and generous to a fault, 'Mal' will be profoundly missed by his countless friends and family members.

He is survived by his parents Don and Mildred Martin, his six siblings Amos (Lindsey) Martin, Joel (Kelsey) Martin, Micah (Hannah) Martin, Lucy (Daniel) Yoder, Bethany (Ray) Shenje, and Obadiah Martin; his adoring nieces and nephews, Silas, Atlee (Amos & Lindsey), Yoanna, Matthias, Darius, Talitha, Tirzah (Joel & Kelsey), Grace, Asher, and Enoch (Lucy & Daniel).

Visiting hours were held at the Shade Mountain Christian Fellowship Hall, 11941 PA-35, Mifflin, PA, Monday August 22, from 2-4 pm. The family planted a tree in Malachi's memory in a private ceremony immediately following.
