Marie M. Foster, 92, passed away February 24, 2022, at 7:30 AM in her Shippensburg home, surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of over 50 years to the late Robert W. "Smitty" Foster, who died August 5, 2004.

Born October 2, 1929, in Spring Run, she was the last surviving of 13 children born to the late Robert and Ellie (Jones) Miley.

Marie was employed at the former Howard Johnson's on the PA turnpike, retiring after 50 years of service.  In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and most of all, spending time with her family and friends brought her great enjoyment.

Surviving are 3 daughters all of Shippensburg, Harriett A. Foster, Frances M. Rockwell and her husband, Stewart and Hope Binder and her  husband, Paul;  9 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great greatgrandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia L. Diehl, a son, Ricky W. Foster, a granddaughter, Melissa A. Ray and a grandson, Dennis E. Varner.

Her funeral service will be in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, Monday, Feb. 28, 2022, at 2 PM with Pastor Philip E. Steele officiating.  Visitation prior to the service 1 to 2 PM.  Interment Path Valley Cemetery. www.agettlakjer.com
