Marlin Joseph "Joe" Fleming, 76, of Shirleysburg, formerly of Nossville, Shade Gap and Blacklog, passed away, July 13, 2025, in Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.  He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Marlene  (Parson) Fleming.

He was born October 21, 1948, in Blairs Mills, a son of the late Ira and Kathleen (Parson) Fleming.

Joe graduated from Southern Huntingdon High School and enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years.  Hunting and fishing also brought him relaxation and pleasure.  He also loved to cut firewood.

Joe worked in construction for  a number of years with Fayetteville Contractors, he continued with C&M Contractors and retired from Jay Fulkroad & Sons, Inc., McAlisterville.

Surviving with his wife, Mary, are twin daughters, Michele Whitsel (Marshall, Jr.) of Shirleysburg and Melissa Murray (Jason) of Spring Run and a daughter, Carolyn Detwiler (Edward) of Three Springs.  He also has 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  Also surviving is a brother, Richard, of Doylesburg  and 3 sisters, Betty Runk of Hustontown,  Sue Chapman of Blairs Mills  and Connie Gibbons of Gardners and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by sons, Marlin " Joseph Jr." in May, 2023,  and Perry Woodward and brothers, James, Gene and Larry and sisters, Anna Mae Maney, Barbara Mooney, Mary Espenshade and Janet Seville.
