Martha A. "Marty" (Neil) Varner, of Fort Loudon, went home to her Lord and Savior on October 28, 2021.

Marty was born to Eleanore J. (Neil) Smith on January 4, 1965, in Chambersburg.

She loved working in her flower beds, going to the beach, kayaking, taking trips and family outings at the Gap.  She was an excellent cook and worked hard to give her sons a good life.

Surviving in addition to her mother, Eleanore and stepfather, Eugene Smith are sons, James and Joshua Varner, grandsons, Jesse and Anthony Varner and her special little granddaughter, Lilly.  Additional survivors include her brothers, Terry and Buddy Smith and a special aunt she adored, Violet Shields.   Marty was loved very much by her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.  We have peace knowing she received her Angel Wings.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald and Louise Neil and her love, Travis Lewis.

The family wishes to thank relatives and friends for gifts, cards and acts of kindness.  A special word of recognition to Donna Mason, Lisa Harbaugh and Terry Hamilton, who were Marty's close friends.

A private family viewing was held at the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, Spring Run with a Memorial Service scheduled Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021, at 3 P.M. in Buchanan State Forest with Pastor Butch Neil officiating.  www.agettlakjer.com
