Norman A. Hockenberry,  80,  passed away June 18, 2021 in Hershey Medical Center.  He lived in Dry Run for many years, where he shared his home with his stepsister, Sharon Johnson.

Born June 4, 1941, in Burns Valley, he was a son of the late Clair W. "Ted" and Frances V. Hockenberry.

Norman had varied employment throughout the years, including sawmilling, roadside mowing and at the stone quarry in Horse Valley.  Most of all, he enjoyed working in farming many years for McCartney Farms.

He had many interests including wood working, racing and tractor pulls.  He loved nature and spent countless hours walking in state forests.  He is fondly remembered as loving to banter and joke with friends.

Surviving is a half-brother, Joseph C. Johnson of East Waterford and a half-sister, Vada F. Neil (her husband, Randall) of Fort Loudon and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Richard, Robert and Wallace Hockenberry.

His Funeral Service will be held Tues., June 22, 2021 at 1 P.M. in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, with Pastor Philip G. Foster, Jr. officiating.   Viewing Monday 7 to 9 P.M.  Interment Concord Union Cemetery.  www.agettlakjer.com
