Patricia M. Campbell, 91, of Amberson, entered her heavenly home on May 24, 2024, at the residence of her daughter, Angela Sullivan, in Dillsburg.

Born July 9, 1932, in Southampton Twp., Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Nelson Franklin and Alice Cecilia (McVitty) Magee.  As a young girl, she lived in the Newburg area until her parents moved to the family farm in Amberson.

She graduated from Fannett Township High School in 1950 and received her BA in Education from, known then as, Shippensburg State Teachers College.  She began her career in her early twenties teaching English and Reading at the Fannett-Metal High School.  Having taught for a number of years, she then began the operation of Campbell's Poultry Farm on the Back Road of Doylesburg, raising chickens and selling eggs. Later she returned to teaching English at Fannett-Metal, retiring in her seventies.  She is remembered as a dedicated teacher who sincerely cared about her students and their education.

Pat was a member and former treasurer of the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church, Spring Run, and the Fannett-Metal Education Association.

She greatly loved her family, and they recall her strong work ethic, perseverance, and how she had been a dedicated and compassionate caregiver for her parents and brother.  She was devoted in her Christian faith, was an avid gardener, loved reading and puzzles, enjoyed watching birds, and collecting seashells at the shore.  Independent, hardworking, and a woman full of love for her Lord and family are fond memories for her children and 2 generations of grandchildren.

Surviving are 4 children: Jeffrey Campbell (Stacey), Spring Run, Gregory Campbell (Tammy), Shippensburg, Stephanie Shoemaker (Carl), Amberson, and Angela Sullivan (Patrick), Dillsburg. 7 grandchildren: Eric, Aaron, Amanda, Dustin, Brian, Paige, and Sean, and 7 great-grandchildren: Avery, Adalyn, Ava, Lane, Blake, Bryce, and Cole.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant, her only sibling, Carl E. Magee, a granddaughter, Hanna Mary Sullivan, and three infant great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 1, 2024, after 9:30 AM, followed by the service at 10:30 AM in the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church, 16950 Main St., PO Box 128, Spring Run, PA 17262 with Rev. Dr. Meagan M.
