Patti Jolene Varner, 65 of Spring Run, formerly of Shippensburg, went home to be with the Lord, March 23, 2026, in Hershey Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Timothy G. Varner.

Born February 14, 1961, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Norman Edward and Shirley Louise (Hornbaker) Thomas.  She graduated from Shippensburg High School in 1979.

In Shippensburg, Patti was employed as a "filling girl" at the former Hoffman Mill, after that, she did babysitting, completing her working career in receiving at Walmart, until retiring due to declining health.

Patti was a member and former Sunday School teacher at Laurel Grove United Methodist Church, Amberson.   She read her bible every day and her family spoke of her courage, strength and faith in God.  She was also the holiday and birthday coordinator for her children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.  Patti also enjoyed reading, playing bingo and had an amazing collection of Panda Bears.  She appreciated the music of Toby Keith and adored her puppy, Toby.

Surviving with her husband, Tim, are 4 children:  Misty Mowery (Jesse Ramsey), McConnellsburg, Anthony Varner (Kristen), Myerstown, Derrick Varner (Kristie), Cashtown and Danielle Jackson (John) of Spring Run and 12 grandchildren, Cage, JJ, (Rachel), Dylan, Natalie, Mckaylah, Kylie, Tray, Madilynn, Carson, Arabella, Willow and Kenzie and a great granddaughter, Lilith.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, March 28th at 11 AM in the Amberson United Methodist Church, 18889 Amberson Road, Spring Run.  A viewing will be held Friday evening, 6 to 8 PM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run and Saturday morning at the church between 10 and 11 AM.  Interment will follow in the Amberson Cemetery. www.agettlakjer.com
