Pauline E. Nethkin was born February 8, 1922 in Doylesburg, PA.  She was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Price) Crouse. She passed away Sept. 15, 2022, at the age of 100.

She married her husband, Arthur M. Nethkin June 8, 1940.  He passed away December 27, 2009.

Pauline is survived by one daughter, Shirley (Robert H.) Ramer, Chambersburg, and two grandchildren, Robert H. (Nancy) Ramer and Brenda (Dan) Reed, all of Chambersburg.  Also surviving are four great grandsons, Andrew (Taylor) Reed, Shawn (Jade) Ramer and their two sons, Rhett and Eli; Nathan Reed and Christopher Ramer. One step great grandson, Cody (Jen) Reed and their four children.

Additional survivors include her half-sister, Mildred (Irvin) Coldsmith and a half-brother, Roy (Peggy) Crouse, all of Chambersburg and nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Snook, Helen Jaymes and Erma Crider and four brothers, Norman, Wayne, Dale and Elmer Crouse along with her stepmother, Catherine Crouse, a stepsister and two stepbrothers.

Pauline was a graduate of the former Fannett Township High School, Dry Run, in 1940.

She enjoyed music and was part of a trio that sang at local churches and nursing homes in her earlier years.  She was a member of Concord U.M. Church and attended Menno Haven Chapel after moving to Personal Care in 2009.  She enjoyed their country rides and reading.

The funeral service will be held at Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, on Wednesday, September 21, at 11 AM with Chaplain Keith Elliott officiating.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Menno Haven Benevolent Fund, 2075 Scotland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201
