Phyllis M. (Parson) Ciarrocca, 89, of Spring Run, PA ran into the arms of her Lord and Savior on the evening of Thursday, September 16, 2021, surrounded by her family.  Born January 21, 1932, in Spring Run, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Mary (Seibert) Parson.

She was a 1950 graduate of the Fannett Township High School.

Phyllis was a member of the Spring Run United Methodist Church for 72 years.  In 2005, she joined the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian Church.  While attending the S.R. United Methodist Church she served as Lay Leader, both President and Vice President of U.M. Women, Sunday School teacher, Youth Director, Chairperson of Ad Council, Church Treasurer, member of the Board of Trustees, Lay Delegate to the Annual Conference, Church Historian, and Boy Scout representative.  She also served two 2-year terms as President of the United Church Women.

In earlier years, she served as President of the PTA and President of Band Parents of Fannett-Metal Jr./Sr. High School.

Her employment included the Howard Johnson Restaurant on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, Letterkenny Army Depot, and 23 years as a supervisor at Tracey Fashions in Chambersburg.  Phyllis also served as an integral staff member of the Path Valley Speedway, working in the tower, and also keeping track of the driver's weekly and seasonal points totals from 1987-1996.

The simplest pleasures in life, such as cooking, baking, sewing, attending church and Sunday School, as well as supporting her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in their athletic endeavors and other activities, brought the greatest joy to Phyllis.  Her family and friends were her dearest treasures, and she will be fondly remembered on multiple continents as "Gram", and for her kindness, generosity, and hospitality.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of 68 years, John, whom she married on November 29, 1952; her daughter, Kathy McGee (wife of Gary) of Spring Run; three grandchildren, Tina McGee-Myer (wife of Kerry), Von McGee (husband of Kristin) also of Spring Run, and Tana McGee-Martin (wife of Chad) of Doylesburg; four great-grandchildren, Mikell McGee, Gabriella Sabatino, Finn McGee, and Macileigh McGee-Martin; one sister, Marlene Benson of Phoenixville, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her son, Johnny; and four brothers, Sam, Paul, Gerald, and Donald Parson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at the Upper Path Valley Presbyterian church, 16950 Main St., Spring Run, PA, with the Rev. Dr. Meagan M. Boozer officiating.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:30 PM Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, as well as, at the church prior to the service, 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM.  Interment will follow in the Path Valley Cemetery.
