Rachel D. Fleagle, loving mother and grandmother, 84, passed away peacefully at her home in Fannettsburg, PA on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022.  She was born on Nov. 14, 1938, in Doylesburg, PA and was the last surviving child born to the late Harry V. McLaughlin and Olive (Happle) McLaughlin.  She was preceded in death by her former husband, James R. Fleagle.

Rachel devoted her life to raising her family of 7 and her granddaughter, April Thomas, who shared her home.  She enjoyed her family and her dogs.  She also enjoyed feeding and watching birds in her backyard.

She is survived by 5 children, Susan Seagraves (Lenny) of Orrville, OH, Karen Newell (Roger) of Newville, Judy Devlin (John) of Shade Gap, James Fleagle (Melinda Clayton) of East Waterford and Marietta Hamilton (Richard) of Burnt Cabins.

Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Fleagle and a son, Ricky Fleagle, two grandchildren and her siblings, 3 brothers, John, Arthur and Victor McLaughlin, and 4 sisters, Grace Hammond, Helen Miley, Sadie Frey and Viola Neil.

A viewing for relatives and friends will be Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, between 1 and 2 PM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, followed by her funeral service at 2 PM, with Pastor Daryl L. Diller officiating.  Interment Doylesburg Cemetery.
