Ralph I. Frehn passed away peacefully at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, in Johnstown, on December 7, 2022, at the age of 68. Ralph was born at home on July 21,1954 in Shade Gap, PA, a son of the late Isaac and Lois (Winegardner) Frehn.

Ralph was a graduate of Southern Huntingdon High School and spent most of his post- graduation years working in his father's garage, selling and working on cars. Frehn's garage on Main St. in Shade Gap was well known by locals, a place where friends came to loaf, tell stories and enjoy a good laugh. If you needed to find Ralph, all you had to do was stop your car in front of the garage and he'd come out to greet you.

He is survived by his three children, Carla Frehn, Heidi Locke, (wife of Jesse) and Aaron Frehn, and grandson, Ryker Frehn, (son of Aaron). Also surviving are sisters, Nancy Coons (wife of Ray) and Kay Rosenberry (wife of Gerald) and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service, officiated by Ralph's childhood friend, Bill Bair, will be held for family and friends at 3:30 PM on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Fair Ridge Church Cemetery, 22776 Piper Ln, Shade Gap, PA. In honor of Ralph's memory, his children are holding a time of remembrance to celebrate his life at the Ladies Auxiliary Building, 21367 Main St, Shade Gap from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Saturday, December 17, 2022.
